Daily 5 Work - Reading To Self

Wild Winter Weather

In the weekend the rain was really wild like a stampede of elephants. Drains were shooting everywhere like guns. Paddocks were flooding to the brim. The wind was howling like a wolf. I saw the rain coming down like stones. The lakes rise up. The sea was close to shore. All I saw was muddy grass everywhere. The water was deep like a swimming pool. The sun was sad.

My Grandpa

My grandpa has bushy white eye brows. He is in his seventies. His eye are a bright hazel. His hair is thin and short like paper. He has a long nose.

He limps around outside with crutches. He normally goes out to big towns like New Plymouth, Hawera and Wellington.

On a rainy day he stays inside I normally see him outside wondering around his garden.

He convinces Mum to drink beer and wine. When he sees me he says hello he talks in a deep voice. He normally talks to Mum and Dad.

He always buys us food. He is alone by himself but he isn't alone when we are there. He's normally inside sitting on his chair. When people see him they help him walk. Everyone he goes past he says "Hello", people say hello back to him.

Daily 5 - Working On Writing

The one thing that I'll remember about my teacher is that she uses technology a lot to help us learn. We use the technology for learning like reading inquiry math and ICT. We use them for blogging too. Miss Ogle is a geek with technology. She created a learning portal and our blog. We even use them to type our stories up to.

TeReo Classroom Objects using ThingLink

This week we have learnt to use the app ThingLink. We have used the app to support us in our learning of Te Reo words. Here is my ThingLink activity.
